AP Advanced Placement
The Advanced Placement (AP) program provides college level courses at all comprehensive high schools. Colleges evaluate, acknowledge, and encourage this accomplishment by granting appropriate college credit and/or placement for successful scores on a corresponding AP exam. Exams are administered at the school site once a year during the second and third weeks in May.

APEXAM updates 2021 This year, College Board is offering multiple administration testing windows to accommodate the ever-changing pandemic. Our students will have the opportunity to take their AP exams during administration 2 testing window. Administration 2 testing window starts on Tuesday, May 18 and ends on Friday, May 28. Half of the subjects are paper and pencil and half are digital exams. All paper and pencil exams will be administered in-person at school and digital exams will be completed online at home. |

AP Environmental Science
This course is designed to be the equivalent of a one-semester, introductory college course in environmental science. Unlike most other introductory-level college science courses, Environmental Science is offered from a wide variety of departments, including geology, biology, environmental studies, environmental science, chemistry, and geography. Topics will include: cell chemistry, earth systems, ecosystems, biomes, energy resources, air, water, atmosphere, and climate. Students will also learn science laboratory safety, use the scientific method, participate in investigations and experiments, and use various tools and instrumentation. The AP Government & Politics United States course provides an analytical perspective on government and politics in the United States. This course involves both the study of general concepts used to interpret U.S. politics and the analysis of specific case studies. It also requires familiarity with the various institutions, groups, beliefs, and ideas that constitute U.S. political reality. AP English Language & Composition
This course focuses on the improvement of students' abilities to read closely and analyze linguistic choices in complex texts and on the development of writers that demonstrate their aptitude in the elements of rhetoric. Students will be engaged in varied reading across modes and genres covering a variety of topics with the goal of learning about the choices writers make regarding text in order to serve their purpose. In addition, students will be honing their writing skills as they become more aware of the rhetorical devices available to them when writing literary analysis, arguments, and research.
